Ateshgah Insurance Company was established in the end of 1996 and obtained the license for insurance activity at the beginning of 1997.

Starting from 2001 Ateshgah Insurance Company is one of leaders of the insurance market in Azerbaijan.
In 2009 in line with policy accepted by founders of Ateshgah Insurance Company and Ateshgah Life Insurance Company, these companies merged and established the Group of Companies. In this Group Ateshgah Insurance Company is engaged in Proprietary Insurance and Ateshgah Life is engaged in Life Insurance. Ateshgah Life Insurance Company is the first Insurance Company specialized in Life insurance.

Ateshgah Insurance Company pays more attention to voluntary insurance of car, insurance of fire risks and other risks, cargo insurance, responsibility insurance and other kinds of proprietary insurance.
The medical insurance and personal accident insurance become an important direction of the company's activities.

At the same time Ateshgah IC provides services meeting world standards of insurance of energy risks related to exploration and development of onshore and offshore oil and gas operations.
